Description
A stylish classic WPA poster “Keep Your Teeth Clean” available as neat little stickers.
This WPA poster, designed between 1936 and 1938, for the Federal Art Project, promoted oral hygiene during the Great Depression in the United States … this period of time is also right around the time dental scientists were discovering fluoride’s cavity prevention powers but before fluoride was available in fluoridated water, fluoride toothpaste, and fluoride treatments. Once fluoride toothpaste came to market in the 1950s and 1960s, brushing became much more effective at keeping teeth clear of cavities.
